I found this one in Japan.
Great example, super low miles at 27,986
Came from a collection, basically well kept, & running strong.
It has been repainted, ( original color ) & I think it was shot in high humidity.
There are a few rust bubbles at the windshield base & the door bottoms.
The frame & chassis bits of importance are rust free.
Nice exhaust system. It is a 1975 and needs no smog in California, accordingly, no thermal reactor, just mufflers & tips.
It has a delightful rasp, and here it is on a short video:
It has the air filter, but removed for this photo as I was doing carburettor work.
The carbs have been apart & dialed in, & the distributors have been apart & setup on my distributor machine.
Car fires instantly & runs great.
Minimal blowby, good compression & leakdown.
The leather is in great shape, but the carpets have some blue ball point pen stains. Oops.
Children in the family perhaps.
The spare & the tool kit were poached on the boat ride over from Japan.
Such an annoyance !
Overall its a great starter Ferrari as it is the most affordable model out there.
I have owned several GT4s & prefer them to later 308s as the seating position allows them to be tossed about better.
If you want to cruise freeways get a GTB, if you want to fly around corners get a GT4.
Put a stiffer rear sway bar on & these things will turn in nicely. Careful in the rain if you do that though.
This is a nice example & I bought it for myself, but I just have too many obligations to take the time to enjoy it.
I didn't take the time & money to make it super clean, as perhaps the next owner in line would prefer a lower purchase price.
I did tune it up to make it run super well though, & as a matter of fact I'm going to go drive it right now.
Enjoy your day !
